Recap of $THE Token Incident on Alpaca Finance 2.0 TLDR - $THE lenders in isolated pool affected - Other pools and funds unrelated and safe - 29 wallets/users affected - $116k combined write-down based on pre-event market value Details: 1) $THE token, listed as an “Isolated” pool on Alpaca Finance 2.0, experienced a sudden 5x price surge due to Binance listing it. This price pump, due to being a new market and the token’s first major CEX listing, was not quickly captured in any existing price oracles for the token. *Please note that no setup of existing oracles could have prevented this event, because a market has to exist before oracles can add it to a price feed. Moreover, major oracle providers with faster price updates did not have feeds for $THE because they usually require a major listing before creating feeds, which is something the token projects themselves negotiate with them.
