The True Story: Losing Everything After Investing in Cryptocurrency
My name is Hoang, a technology enthusiast who decided to invest in cryptocurrency two years ago. Initially, I only bought a small amount of Bitcoin and Ethereum, but as I saw the prices rise, I invested more, even borrowing money to buy more coins. I believed that the cryptocurrency market would continue to grow strongly.
But then, in mid-2022, the market collapsed sharply. Bitcoin fell from $60,000 to $30,000 and continued to drop further. I was confused, but instead of selling to cut my losses, I still hoped for a recovery. Ultimately, the value of my assets nearly evaporated as many projects collapsed and major exchanges went bankrupt.
When I decided to sell all my remaining coins, their value had plummeted dramatically. I not only lost money but also went into debt with friends and family. This failure made me realize that in investing, a lack of knowledge, strategy, and patience are the biggest causes of loss.
Lessons learned:
Investing requires thorough research and a clear strategy. Do not borrow money to invest. Be patient and control emotions in a volatile market.
Even though I lost everything, I continue to learn and seek new opportunities.
