According to Deep Tide TechFlow news, on December 5, Cointelegraph reported that Solana Foundation's strategic head Austin Federa has left the project to co-found a new protocol and network called DoubleZero, aimed at managing high-performance, permissionless networks.
Federa stated in a December 4 statement on X that leaving Solana after four years was "one of the toughest career decisions I had to make," but the new role will allow him to still engage with the network "from a different perspective." Federa mentioned that his new project DoubleZero is not an L1 or L2 protocol, but a new type of global foundational layer network optimized for blockchain, designed to increase bandwidth and reduce latency.
