🔥BlackRock's IBIT Holdings Exceed 500,000 BTC, Surpassing MicroStrategy's Bitcoin Holdings
As of December 2, BlackRock's Bitcoin spot ETF IBIT holdings have surpassed 500,000 BTC, with a market value of up to $48 billion, accounting for 2.38% of Bitcoin's circulating supply.
Meanwhile, the total holdings of 12 Bitcoin spot ETFs in the US have reached 1.1 million bitcoins, exceeding the 1 million bitcoins held by Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto, marking the official surpassing of Nakamoto's holdings by the total holdings of Bitcoin spot ETFs. This data indicates that once institutions begin to focus on and invest in a particular project, their entry speed is extremely rapid.
Currently, BlackRock's Bitcoin spot ETF holdings have surpassed MicroStrategy's 402,100 bitcoins. It is worth noting that MicroStrategy took over four years to accumulate over 400,000 bitcoins, while BlackRock's ETF has accumulated over 500,000 bitcoins in less than a year.
This stark contrast not only highlights the strong capabilities of institutional investors but also allows us to witness their powerful purchasing power in the Bitcoin market and their strong driving force for market development.
Looking back at history, in less than a year since the Bitcoin spot ETF was launched for trading at the beginning of this year, the amount of Bitcoin hoarded by institutions has already exceeded Nakamoto's holdings. Therefore, it can be anticipated that the future purchase volume of Bitcoin spot ETFs will reach even more astonishing numbers.
Globally, both nations and institutions are fiercely competing for Bitcoin resources. For those who still doubt whether Bitcoin will go to zero or question its actual value, this may indicate that they have failed to keep pace with the times.
This phenomenon again highlights a reality: 90% of people may forever remain mediocre. Because even when opportunities are right in front of them, most choose not to take action. The missed opportunities arising from hesitation may ultimately leave them with deep regrets!
💬 What do you think about BlackRock surpassing MicroStrategy's Bitcoin holdings in such a short time? Does this mean that institutional investors are becoming the dominant force in the Bitcoin market? Are you optimistic or pessimistic about the future of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies?
