Virgin Voyages announced it will launch a new "annual pass" program starting in 2025, and it is said to become the "first cruise product to accept cryptocurrency."
According to a recent blog post, the company will accept Bitcoin as a payment method for the new service, with a standard upfront fee of $120,000 per cruise, plus taxes. There are currently no signs that Virgin Voyages will consider expanding its cryptocurrency payment options or when that might happen.
The annual pass offers unlimited cruise travel for a year on a first-come, first-served basis. The company stated that the product was conceived after the success of its "season pass" program, primarily aimed at remote workers. (Cointelegraph)
