Vitalik Buterin plans to shape the future of Ethereum wallets with significant changes to improve user experience, increase security, strengthen privacy, and adapt to new technologies.
Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin has published a new blog post about the future of Ethereum wallets, in which he offers several suggestions for making wallets more efficient, secure, and user-friendly.
Buterin noted the need to simplify Layer 2 (L2) transactions and optimize gas fees to improve user experience. He also noted that payment methods should be standardized and that QR codes and on-chain addresses would be beneficial.
At this point, he argued that the usage areas of decentralized finance (DeFi) products will increase.
Regarding security, he mentioned that tools such as multi-signature methods, social recovery, and ZK-SNARK-based identity management will increase the security of Ethereum wallets.
On privacy, he emphasized the importance of integrating private transfers and using privacy pools. He also said that supporting off-chain data storage would further strengthen privacy.
On the technology front, he stated that lightweight client consensus validation and on-chain content versioning should be adopted to mitigate Web2 risks.
Buterin predicted that in the future, artificial intelligence and brain-computer interfaces will make Ethereum wallets smarter, more secure, and more efficient. These statements are considered an important step towards making the Ethereum ecosystem a more user-friendly and secure platform.
