Tenreiro joined the Crypto Assets and Cyber Division in October 2022 as Deputy Director. His responsibilities in the cryptocurrency division included leading the Securities and Exchange Commission's lawsuits against several major companies in the industry, including actions against exchanges Kraken and Coinbase, blockchain company Tron and founder Justin Sun, as well as a years-long legal battle against Ripple Labs.
