JOLTS Vacancies $XRP $HBAR $KAIA

On Tuesday, December 3, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) will publish data on job vacancies and labor turnover (JOLTS) for October. The report will detail changes in the number of job vacancies as well as the number of layoffs and voluntary separations.

These data provide valuable information about supply and demand in the labor market, which affects wages and inflation. In March 2022, the number of job vacancies in the U.S. exceeded 12 million, but has been steadily declining since then. This indicates a gradual easing of conditions in the labor market.

However, in August 2024, the trend stalled when the number of vacancies increased to 8.4 million from 7.7 million in July. In September, the figure was 7.44 million vacancies. The state of the labor market is a key factor for Federal Reserve officials when setting monetary policy. A slight increase to 7.49 million is now expected in October, as the effects of the hurricane and strikes continue to wane.
