To have an "altcoin season", several factors must converge: BTC.D decreases + USDT.D decreases + TOTAL3 increases + BTC sideways. This plan, I believe, has been and is still in progress, however, there hasn't been a strong breakthrough yet. What I expect is for BTC.D to push back a little more and then decrease sharply, BTC to go sideways, and then officially Altcoin season starts.
