SEC Charges Tozi Capital With Defrauding 1,500 Investors in $115 Million Cryptocurrency Scheme
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has charged Tozi Capital and its founder, Eng Taing, with orchestrating a fraud of more than $100 million.
The financial regulator alleged that the company misused funds raised to mine cryptocurrencies and rehabilitate debt.
The commission is seeking permanent injunctions, civil penalties, and recovery of ill-gotten gains for Tozi.
