Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin responded to the U.S. Government Efficiency Office (DOGE) regarding the issue of government small expenditure errors, stating that he does not quite agree with the approach taken by the Government Efficiency Office. The examples cited only account for a small portion of total expenditures. If the government aims to optimize by avoiding mistakes that make it look bad on Twitter, it will miss many valuable opportunities, while large-scale projects that actually waste more resources will continue to exist simply because they appear respectable. For small-scale public funding, a venture capital (VC) approach should be adopted, which accepts a large number of potential mistakes, as the goal is to ensure the capture of opportunities that can yield 1000 times the return. Cautious efforts should be focused on large-scale matters.
