Ethereum co-founder Jeffrey Wilcke has once again become the focus of market attention. On-chain data shows that he transferred 20,000 Ether (worth approximately US$72.5 million) to Kraken last night (28), presumably preparing to "sell coins for cash."

CryptoQuant analyst Maartunn emphasized that this is the fourth time Jeffrey Wilcke has transferred Ethereum to Kraken this year, and a total of 44,300 Ethereum has been transferred so far, worth US$148 million, with an average price of US$3,342.

Despite this sizeable transfer, Jeffrey Wilcke currently holds approximately 106,000 Ether, worth approximately $384 million.

According to Coingecko market data, Ethereum is trading at $3,564 at the time of writing, down 1.6% in the past 24 hours.

In fact, Jeffrey Wilcke had intended to cash out as early as 2019. At that time, he transferred 92,000 Ethereum to Kraken, which even caused an uproar in the cryptocurrency community. People thought that Vitalik Buterin himself was going to sell off the coins, but Jeffrey Wilcke jumped out to "surrender" and said that "he originally planned to cash out to fund the games he developed." However, whether he really sold the coins later, the outside world has no way of knowing.
