In 2021, the crypto market was experiencing an unprecedented bull run, and I was closely watching this exciting development. Bitcoin was still dominating the market as a primary currency, but Solana (SOL) was starting to generate a lot of buzz around it. At first, I was hesitant to invest in it, sticking with the idea that Bitcoin was the safest option. As time went on, I saw Solana making incredible leaps, and I thought, “Am I missing the boat?” I was watching the price rise, from less than $1 at the beginning of 2021 to over $200 by the end of the year. At that moment, the idea that it could be Bitcoin#2began to loom.
How could I ignore all these spikes? The thought was running through my mind, and I decided that I needed to join this wave. At that moment, I decided to move my investment from Bitcoin to Solana, thinking that I might make huge gains like many investors did at that time. I had a strong feeling that it would continue to rise, but the truth was completely different, it was almost at its peak, after about a month, the price started to drop sharply, and I started to wonder if I had made a big mistake.
I was watching the numbers go down, and at that moment I felt anxious: Am I going to lose my entire balance? After thinking deeply, I decided to withdraw my investment. My loss was huge, but withdrawing at that time was the best option to avoid further losses. It was a tough experience that taught me a lot about market volatility and the importance of making quick decisions. At that moment, I wondered if I had missed the opportunity of a lifetime.
Meanwhile, there was Dogecoin (DOGE) which made unexpected gains thanks to the huge media support from Elon Musk, reaching over $0.70, which made me think if this was another opportunity I might miss.
Ethereum (ETH) had already established itself in the market, reaching $4,000, and I was thinking about the power of this currency in new areas such as decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). At that time, there were many opportunities, but it was difficult to choose the best, and the truth is that my investment in it at that time saved me a little loss.
But now, after those experiences, I see that the digital market does not stop at a single moment. Opportunities come and go, but the most important thing is to always be ready for the next wave. Have I missed the train? Or are the great opportunities still on the way?
Now, I'm getting ready for the next wave. Will you be with me on this journey 🥹
