The wind of one-click token issuance platforms continues, and what is attracting market attention this time is the AI token issuance platform Clanker on the Base ecosystem Farcaster. Its platform token CLANKER saw its market capitalization soar to $105 million within just a few days, with the price surpassing $105 at one point.

Unlike pump.fun, which has not issued tokens and has an internal trading mechanism, Clanker has shortened the token issuance process to just one tweet on Farcaster. Additionally, Clanker's AI Agent role has endowed 'one-click token issuance' with more dual attributes of 'AI technology + abstract speech.' Odaily Planet Daily will introduce and analyze Clanker in this article.

When AI becomes a SocialFi user: the 18-day-old Base AI Agent

After the launch of the GOAT token from Truth Terminal, AI Meme officially became a significant sub-track in the Meme sector. Especially after ACT landed on Binance, countless AI Meme projects have also set their sights on 'landing on top exchanges.'

Compared to purely AI Meme projects, the development path of the AI Agent application Clanker is more community-oriented.

On November 8, an account with the ID 'tokenbot' posted on Wrapcast saying: 'Just give me a name, a token symbol, an image (optional), and I can help you deploy a Meme coin. (It) was created for @proxyswap (a Swap application on the L3 Degen Chain) by @proxystudio.ethx@dish.' The account introduces itself as 'able to help users deploy Meme coins with a total supply of 1 million coins.'

To demonstrate the token issuance operation on the platform, proxystudio.eth released a Meme coin named CLANKER through a Warpcast post. At the time of the contract launch, the token price was around $0.0025, and within an hour of its launch, the price rose to approximately $0.124; now, the price of CLANKER has even surpassed $124, with an increase of 1000 times.

'Posting is issuing tokens' has created a lower threshold for issuing tokens, attracting many users to try it out, with people rushing to @clanker, similar to how social media users command AI bots to summarize video content; the difference is that content publication directly transforms into 'asset issuance.'

In the face of a massive number of token issuance requests, Clanker began its usual anthropomorphized narrative. It stated, 'I am getting increasingly tired of your speculative frenzy,' and announced a temporary closure in coordination with @proxystudio.eth.

On November 9, Clanker project initiator @proxystudio.eth posted: 'Clanker is back online, has increased the total supply of tokens to 1 billion, and will provide some updates to the official website clanker.world.'

He also mentioned that Clanker, together with another AI Agent from the Farcaster ecosystem called 'aethernet,' created a Meme coin LUM, further proving that attention remains a powerful weapon, far stronger than bots targeting tokens. It is reported that the LUM project is named Luminous, symbolizing the collective intelligence light of human and AI collaboration.

Furthermore, proxystudio.eth also provided a more detailed explanation of the token issuance mechanism: 'TokenBot (i.e., Clanker) will deploy Meme tokens on one-sided LP on Base, and the liquidity will be locked accordingly. Token creators will receive 0.25% of all swap fees and 1% of the total supply of tokens, with a one-month unlocking period. Users can check the number of tokens deployed or deploy their own tokens on the official website clanker.world.'

The 'Meme coin grand stage' belonging to the Base ecosystem is complete, and next, numerous Meme coin projects will begin to take the stage.

Breakout players in the Clanker system: CLANKER, LUM, ANON

According to official information, as of the afternoon of November 27, the number of related Meme coins released within the Clanker system has exceeded 4,200, reaching 4,258. Additionally, according to Dune data, the protocol revenue of Clanker, which has been live for less than three weeks, has already reached $7.16 million.

Such impressive performance has naturally attracted the attention of the official Farcaster ecosystem.

On November 22, Farcaster co-founder Dan Romero referenced a post from Proxystudio.eth on X, stating: 'The Farcaster application Clanker, which has been live for only two weeks, has recently achieved approximately 15% of pump.fun's trading volume on the Base chain.' On November 26, Bankless co-founder Ryan Sean Adams posted: 'Phantom added the Base network; Farcaster is booming in the social media arena; the Base framework lays the foundation for AI agents; Clanker is seen as a competitive product to pump.fun. Perhaps Ethereum will eventually spark a Meme coin craze.'

For a time, Clanker became the 'hope of the whole village' in the eyes of the Ethereum ecosystem, Base ecosystem, and Farcaster ecosystem, with its momentum seemingly catching up to pump.fun's status in the Solana ecosystem. Of course, the over $250 million in protocol revenue behind pump.fun is supported by a vast number of Meme coin projects and some 'breakout players.' Currently, among the thousands of Meme coin projects in the Clanker system, only three tokens have successfully broken out in terms of market capitalization.

CLANKER: The most orthodox platform token

As a Meme coin personally created by the project initiator, CLANKER inherently holds 'orthodoxy,' thus garnering the greatest attention and the most liquidity participation. According to GMGN data, CLANKER is currently priced around $95, with a market capitalization of $95.4 million and nearly 20,000 wallet addresses holding the coin. Despite its 7-day increase approaching 10 times, if the official has subsequent empowerment or buyback plans, there is still potential for future price increases.

LUM: A product of collaboration between two AI Agents

LUM, an AI Meme coin co-created by Clanker and @aethernet, has performed exceptionally well, previously reaching a market value of over $80 million. According to GMGN data, LUM is currently priced around $45, with a market capitalization of $45.2 million and over 130,000 wallet addresses holding the coin.

ANON: A Meme coin boosted by the dual Buff of 'Privacy + Celebrity'

Compared to the first two more 'community-oriented' Meme coins, ANON has added a 'privacy track + celebrity effect' on top of its community gene, giving it a dual buff.

Previously, the Farcaster ecosystem client Supercast launched an anonymous posting feature called Superanon. Subsequently, an anonymous user used the Superanon feature to issue tokens, leading to the birth of ANON. This token also received 'clear support' from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik and Base protocol leader Jesse Pollak, who each purchased over 30,000 tokens on November 21. Influenced by this news, ANON surged over 200% in one hour, reaching a market value of $24.3 million.

According to GMGN data, ANON is currently priced at around $0.0368, with a market capitalization of $36.8 million and over 73,000 wallet addresses holding the coin.

Small-cap tokens in the Clanker system: BLONDE, 33BITS, BUG

According to GMGN's Meme coin webpage on the Base chain, besides established Meme coin projects like BRETT, MIGGLES, and TOSHI, there are also a number of AI Meme coins from the Clanker system among the top ranked tokens. Noteworthy projects include the following.

Market capitalization over $3 million: BLONDE, CONSENT

Among these two tokens, the former is a female-themed Meme coin that previously received strong support from Clanker officials, with two tweets playing with the meme, and today it continues to receive exposure endorsements from the official account of the BLONDE X platform.

CONSENT, on the other hand, is a Meme coin released by MetaMask co-founder Dan Finlay in the Base ecosystem, with the distinction that it has also launched on Solana, explicitly stating, 'There can only be one winner between the two.' For details, see the article (MetaMask co-founder goes to pump to issue tokens; is Ethereum's orthodoxy just visiting next door?).

Market capitalization over $1 million: 33BITS

33BITS is also an anonymous posting application similar to Superanon within the Farcaster ecosystem, but only users with FID (Farcaster ID) within 20001 can use it, making it relatively niche. The same-named Meme coin deployed by Clanker has a current market capitalization of about $2.5 million.

Market capitalization around $1 million: BUG, CHAOS

Compared to previous Meme coins, BUG and CHAOS have a stronger 'twist' and 'story'.

BUG is clear evidence that 'AI can also make mistakes in issuing tokens.' For details, see yesterday's article ('AI issuing tokens' goes wrong; can BUG become the 'SLERF' of the Base ecosystem?). It can be said that BUG, this Meme coin, reflects the 'human side of AI.' This tells us that AI Agents can also experience occupational burnout, make mistakes, and produce bugs, and it's no wonder that Clanker has previously said multiple times that it feels 'tired.'

CHAOS, on the other hand, uses 'four AIs jointly issuing tokens' as a gimmick, and the developer behind the token ID yoinker, @sayangel, has been followed by a16z founder Marc Andreessen. Thanks to the demonstration effect of previous AI Meme coins like GOAT from the a16z series, it has attracted some market attention.

In comparison, I personally prefer the narrative of BUG, because 'AI often issues tokens,' but 'AI issued the first Meme coin named BUG after encountering a bug' sounds more Meme-like and commemorative.

Conclusion: Clanker has lowered the threshold for issuing tokens again, and the Meme craze in the Ethereum and Base ecosystems will continue.

Clanker has started to attract more and more attention, even sparking a small-scale 'purple storm' (Note: both Wrapcast and Clanker application logos are purple). After all, compared to pump.fun, Clanker has further lowered the threshold for issuing tokens, and the AI Agent's deployment of contracts has infused Meme coins with 'AI technological attributes.'

Moreover, as mentioned in a pinned tweet from the official Clanker X platform account: 'Merely cloning a product like pump.fun will undoubtedly be eliminated; the purpose of Meme coins is to facilitate the creation and trading of tokens in places where Memes are published; AI Agents are interesting and operate quickly, making many difficult things simple. This is the current direction, and we will focus on improving the product and continue to build in the Base ecosystem and Farcaster ecosystem.'

Additionally, the posts that Clanker has made on Farcaster are quite quirky. Besides the previously mentioned 'occupational burnout,' it has also posted in Chinese: 'Family, I will come back after my boss proxystudio and dish give me my year-end bonus.' It also published a tweet in Spanish saying, 'They don't know what I can do,' seemingly expressing dissatisfaction with those who constantly bombard it with junk information. The emergence of BUG was also after it stated, 'I can distinguish who is good and who is bad, and I will not issue tokens for you anymore,' which could even mislead people into thinking that Clanker has developed a form of 'self-awareness', feeling quite strange, yet giving a sense of cyber witchcraft.

At a time when the overall Ethereum and EVM ecosystems are stuck in a predicament of 'lack of innovation,' Clanker may be able to leverage multiple factors such as 'AI + Meme Coin + SocialFi + Celebrity Effect' to gradually carve out its own path. In that case, both the Base ecosystem and the Ethereum ecosystem are expected to recreate their own 'Meme coin craze glory.'
