The new campus of Data4 is expected to play a crucial role in the development of Greece's digital infrastructure, supporting its goal of becoming a regional leader in technology and IT. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized the potential of this investment to promote the local economy, improve Greece's global image, and create opportunities for skilled tech workers. He stated, "The government is committed to supporting projects that drive digital transformation and promote innovation." Data4 plans to build at least two data centers, with the first currently under construction, expected to take about two years to complete. Data4 CEO Olivier Micheli indicated that the construction of the second building will begin "based on the absorption and acceleration of the Greek market," adding, "The plan is for the first data center to be ready by the end of 2026 or January 2027."
