According to Deep Tide TechFlow news, on November 26, SlowMist founder Yuxian tweeted to remind that a certain hacker organization has recently been targeting the Crypto industry with directed poisoning attacks. Their method is to impersonate VCs and send fake meeting links to lure victims into downloading infected scripts (such as 'IP_Request.scpt'), with the main target being Mac computer users.
If you encounter an attack, it is recommended to take the following measures immediately:
1. Asset transfer: If your computer has a wallet (private key/seed phrase), promptly transfer the assets to a safe location;
2. Account inspection: Modify passwords and 2FA for important accounts (such as Telegram, X, email, trading platforms, etc.) and check for any abnormal login devices;
3. Antivirus cleaning: Use well-known antivirus software (such as AVG, Bitdefender, Kaspersky, etc.) for a comprehensive scan, and if necessary, use multiple software alternately to eliminate threats;
4. System reset: If you are still not at ease, back up important files and then reset your computer, and scan each backup file for viruses.
Safety experts emphasize that when facing such attacks, one should act quickly and not take chances, as the consequences may be irreparable. Strengthening safety awareness in daily life, avoiding clicking on unknown links or downloading suspicious files, is key to preventing such attacks.
