On November 26th, Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart's latest report pointed out that the approval decision for ETFs of altcoins such as SOL, XRP, LTC, and HBAR may be extended until the end of 2025. Unlike the approved Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, these altcoins lack support from CME-regulated futures markets. Although WisdomTree and 21Shares have submitted XRPETF applications, current regulations do not allow them to be listed until compliance issues such as market manipulation and custody are resolved. Seyffart also stated that the new SEC leadership in 2025 may be more friendly towards cryptocurrencies and may allow ETF products to include pledging functions.
