According to Cointelegraph, Maya Parbhoe, the presidential candidate for Suriname's 2025 elections and CEO of Daedalus Labs, recently announced her campaign vision to transform Suriname into a nation that adopts Bitcoin as its standard, surpassing the digitalization level of El Salvador. Parbhoe stated that if elected, she will promote Bitcoin to become legal tender, gradually replacing the Surinamese dollar with satoshis in the first year, and ensuring all salaries are paid in Bitcoin. Her reform plan also includes dissolving the central bank, tax cuts, privatizing public services, and issuing national Bitcoin bonds.
