📊 Bitcoin (BTC) price falls below $95,000, is the $100,000 goal difficult to achieve?
Recently, everyone has been saying that Bitcoin is about to break through the $100,000 mark. Last Saturday, it was only $200 short of reaching this important milestone, but in the end, it didn't make it. Just like three years ago, after failing to reach the peak, Bitcoin suffered multiple setbacks.
On Monday, the market was suddenly controlled by bears, and the price of Bitcoin dropped to $95,000 in the afternoon, and fell below $93,000 early this morning.
Since Trump won the election on November 6, Bitcoin has seen a significant increase, rising by more than $30,000. Last Friday, it was close to setting a new historical high at $99,800. However, just as it was about to break the six-figure mark, the price adjusted back down.
On Monday, the price of Bitcoin attempted to reach around $99,000 again but ultimately fell. This time, the drop was more severe, with the price plummeting over $4,000, and then another drop of over $3,000 in the early morning, reaching a low of $93,000, although it slightly rebounded later, bringing the price to around $94,800.
This price drop came quite suddenly, especially since on Monday, the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holder, MicroStrategy, announced that they had purchased a large amount of Bitcoin worth over $5 billion.
Not only Bitcoin, but many altcoins also experienced varying degrees of decline. According to CoinGlass data, among the top ten altcoins, only ETH, XRP, AVAX, and TON saw slight increases; Solana, BNB, DOGE, ADA, and TRX experienced varying degrees of decline in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, during this period of volatility, the total value of positions forcibly liquidated in 24 hours surged to $529 million, with over $390 million liquidated in just the past 12 hours. Bitcoin accounted for a significant portion, with long positions reaching $386 million (in 24 hours).
💬 Finally, do you think this drop is a temporary adjustment or a trend reversal? Can Bitcoin once again challenge the $100,000 mark in the short term? Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments!
