The supply of USDT on Ethereum has surpassed TRON for the first time since 2022
Ethereum has overtaken TRON to become the blockchain with the highest USDT supply for the first time since 2022. As of November 25, 2024, the USDT supply on Ethereum reached 68.4 billion USD, while on TRON it was only 60.1 billion USD.
Throughout 2024, Tether (USDT) has recorded impressive growth, with a total supply exceeding 123.5 billion USD, up more than 34% from 91.73 billion USD at the beginning of the year. Specifically, more than half of this total was issued on TRON (61.79 billion USD) while Ethereum holds 57.93 billion USD.
USDT has asserted its dominant position in the stablecoin market, despite increasing competition. Tether maintains a large daily trading volume, making it a popular choice among investors. With an additional issuance of 3 billion USD on November 23 across Ethereum and Tron blockchains, it shows that the demand for USDT remains high.
This shift also reflects a change in how users interact with blockchain networks, creating momentum for Tether's sustainable growth in the future.
