According to a report by AFP on November 22, the judge overseeing the 'hush money' case against President-elect Donald Trump announced an indefinite postponement of Trump's criminal judgment on the 22nd. As Trump prepares to return to the White House, his team calls this a 'decisive victory.'

Reports indicate that the judge was scheduled to announce the criminal judgment against Trump on November 26, while Trump is trying to prevent this process before he formally takes over from Biden as President of the United States in January next year.

Judge Juan Merchan in New York said: "The joint application for a stay of the criminal judgment has been approved, allowing the criminal judgment date to be postponed to November 26, 2024."

Trump's legal team cited a landmark ruling issued by the U.S. Supreme Court in July as the basis for their application for a stay of judgment, which granted the president comprehensive immunity for official acts performed during their term.

Trump's communications director Steven Zhang said in a statement: "This is a decisive victory for President Trump; the false Manhattan case is now completely stayed, and the criminal judgment is postponed. President Trump has won an overwhelming electoral victory, and the American people have authorized him to return to power and address all the lingering issues of political persecution."

The report mentioned that in May this year, a jury found Trump guilty of fraudulently altering business records before the 2016 election to cover up his alleged affair with a porn star. Trump was thereafter convicted of 34 felony counts.
