The Briton Who Threw 8,000 $BTC Into the Trash!

Bitcoin's approach to the $100,000 barrier reminded me of the story of the young man in the picture, "James Howells", who became famous several years ago for throwing away a hard drive containing 8,000 $BTC coins that were stored in his private wallet, which he transferred from one of the digital platforms, then kept them on this drive before accidentally throwing it in the trash, and from there directly to the giant landfill in the Newport Municipality where he lives in western Britain.

It remained there for several years until 2013 AD, when the price of Bitcoin reached $100, which prompted him to start his attempts to recover the drive from the landfill, and he has remained in that situation for 11 years until now, but to no avail.

Recently, James filed a lawsuit against the Newport Municipality after he failed to reach an agreement with its officials to cooperate with him in exchange for a promise to donate 10% of the money he would recover to the benefit of the region.

While the municipality announced that it would not grant permission for excavation due to environmental concerns resulting from the overturning of tons of garbage, especially since it is the only party authorized at the site and responsible for any damage that may result from excavation there.
