PANews reported on November 19 that ai16z co-founder Shaw posted again regarding the controversy of the Eliza project, stating: 'The token you purchased was intentionally named after us by the creator to deceive you. It has deceived our own partner developers into thinking it is a token from our partners. Many people came to our Discord to discuss 'ai16zeliza', without realizing that it is not ours. I did not call this token a scam out of kindness. I will respect the airdrop of your scam token because I said I would do so, but many of you really do not deserve this.'

According to previous news, ai16z co-founder stated that Eliza was launched by another team ahead of schedule, but they will not give up on the original plan to launch the Eliza project.
