According to CoinDesk, a group of cryptocurrency veterans, including the co-founders of Lido, is preparing to launch 'Y', a blockchain identity platform aimed at competing with World Network. Y will not use biometric data; instead, it will look at the traces people leave while using the internet to verify whether they are human. According to Y's planning documents, this approach can mitigate privacy risks and minimize fraud—unlike World, which relies on iris scanning.
