$PEPE Destruction Makes it Rare? It's Not That Simple!
This whole PEPE thing sounds like magic, initially, PEPE tokens were everywhere, totaling 420 trillion. But the developers thought, with so many tokens floating around in the market, how could anyone consider them precious? So, they had a bright idea and decided to destroy half, which is 210 trillion, hoping to make the tokens rare and the price soar.
But there's a big pitfall you need to keep your eyes wide open for. Destroying tokens does not mean the total number of tokens has changed. This total number is like a ceiling set for PEPE tokens; no matter how much you destroy, this ceiling remains 420 trillion, unchanged.
You might think, if half is destroyed, then the circulating tokens would be reduced by half, right? The destroyed tokens might come back like ghosts. For example, if you stake the tokens, you might receive rewards; or if the tokens are thrown into a liquidity pool, or even redistributed through community activities. In this case, the number of circulating tokens still remains quite substantial.
Moreover, the act of destroying tokens might not be a one-time event; it could be a continuous process. It's even possible that after destruction, a new batch of tokens is issued, which is not out of the question. Additionally, the project team might need to issue new tokens for various reasons, such as staking rewards, airdrops, community benefits, etc., making the number of circulating tokens still alarmingly high.
So, it's important to distinguish between two concepts:
One is circulating tokens, which are those that can be bought, sold, and used in the market.
The other is the maximum number of tokens, which is the total number initially set by the project, this number is fixed, PEPE is 420 trillion. Just because you see that half has been destroyed, don't mistakenly think that the circulating tokens have also been halved, that would be a huge mistake!
Recently, I plan to ambush a potential coin that is ready to explode, doubling is quite easy, and I also plan to find some potential coins to hold until the end of the year, expecting a growth space of over 10 times is not a problem. If you want to keep up, please like + comment, I will share it for free.
