Polish presidential candidate Sławomir Mentzen recently stated that if he is successfully elected next year, he will establish a 'Bitcoin Strategic Reserve' and promises to create the most cryptocurrency-friendly environment in the world, aiming to make Poland a true 'cryptocurrency paradise.'
Sławomir Mentzen stated this morning (18) on social media platform X:
Poland should establish a Bitcoin Strategic Reserve. If I am elected president, I will make Poland a cryptocurrency haven — with friendly regulations, low taxes, and full support from banks and regulators. Bitcoin To the Moon!
Poland should create a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.
If I become the President of Poland, our country will become a cryptocurrency haven, with very friendly regulations, low taxes, and a supportive approach from banks and regulators.

Before Sławomir Mentzen made the above post, Lech Wilczynski, CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange Swap.ly, also shared a draft policy for a Bitcoin Strategic Reserve drafted by the Satoshi Action Fund, stating:
The draft bill regarding the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve is now available, and now is the time to take action. Instead of passing some meaningless cryptocurrency bills, this proposal should be prioritized for review, otherwise, we might miss a great opportunity.
When directly asked whether he would promote this plan, Sławomir Mentzen responded without hesitation, 'Of course I will.'
Poland is expected to hold a presidential election in May next year, and Sławomir Mentzen has already garnered significant support among libertarians and right-wing voters.
Sławomir Mentzen's proposal inevitably evokes Trump's promise during his campaign to establish a 'Bitcoin Strategic Reserve.' Additionally, Senator Cynthia Lummis proposed a related bill this July, suggesting that the U.S. government buy 1 million Bitcoins over five years and hold them for at least 20 years, only to be sold for the purpose of repaying federal debt.
Senator wants the U.S. to use '1 million Bitcoins as reserves,' how to raise funds to buy them? How to store them after purchase?
