The SEC Chairman really resigned

On November 14, SEC Chairman Gary Gensler spoke at the Bar Association’s 56th Annual Conference on Securities Regulation, reflecting on his experience leading the team. He said, “It has been a privilege to work with them, to serve the people, and to ensure that our capital markets continue to be the best in the world… I am proud to work with my colleagues at the SEC day in and day out to protect American families in the financial markets.”
The speech, which was somewhat like a farewell speech, has sparked speculation about his future. Some sources believe Gensler may resign, following the practice of previous SEC leaders, but have not ruled out the possibility of him remaining as a commissioner.
