According to ChainCatcher, virtual asset exchange Bithumb announced that its operating profit in the third quarter of 2024 was 7.4 billion won (5.26 million U.S. dollars), a turnaround from an operating loss of 650 million won in the same period last year. Revenue was 68.9 billion won (49.01 million U.S. dollars), a year-on-year increase of 112.7%. Net profit for the current period was 3.1 billion won, turning from a net loss of 10.6 billion won in the same period last year to a profit.

A person related to Bithumb said: "As the overall attention to virtual assets has increased, investor sentiment has recovered, and the number of virtual asset trading users has also increased, resulting in improved performance."
