Recently, I learned from the People's Bank of China Maoming Branch that the party and government organs and public institutions in Maoming City have fully implemented the issuance of subsidies in digital renminbi.
In July this year, the Maoming Municipal Finance Bureau and the People's Bank of China Maoming Branch jointly issued a notice on the pilot work of issuing subsidies in digital renminbi. According to the notice's requirements, the party and government organs and public institutions in Maoming City began to fully implement the issuance of subsidies in digital renminbi starting in September. By the end of October, a total of 359 budget units in the city had implemented the issuance of subsidies in digital renminbi, with a cumulative pilot of 75,883 person-times and an amount of 81.738 million yuan for administrative agencies and public institutions.
At the same time, Maoming is also promoting the improvement and expansion of the digital renminbi pilot work, expanding multi-channel payment methods. Next, Maoming City will continue to promote the issuance of salaries in digital renminbi for all budget units in the city. Meanwhile, it will actively promote the construction of a digital renminbi application demonstration area in the eastern area of Maonan River in Maoming City.
