QuarkChain & EthStorage founder Qi Zhou: EVM performance limitations and limited storage space are becoming the main reasons restricting the development of Web3.

ChainCatcher news, at the 'DeInsight 2024' annual summit held during Devcon in Bangkok, QuarkChain & EthStorage founder Qi Zhou delivered a speech themed 'Building the World Supercomputer for the Future of Web3'.

Qi Zhou shared that Ethereum is moving towards a scalability roadmap centered on aggregation, characterized by: off-chain computation and on-chain verification; the introduction of DA (EIP-4844) significantly reduces L2 Tx costs; the lack of large-scale Web3 applications mainly includes high entry costs, EVM performance limitations, limited storage space, centralized front-end, and high L1 verification costs.
