The second season of the Grass mining airdrop is here, and users can participate in mining through simple steps, with future plans to launch a mobile application (Mobile APP). If you have not participated in the first season of airdrop mining, you can read this article to learn how to participate in the second season!
The second season of the Grass mining airdrop has started
The well-known AI/DePIN project Grass recently completed its first wave of airdrop and $GRASS coin listing. Although the airdrop faced controversies such as witch judgments and claim anomalies, surprisingly, the coin price performed well, reaching a peak of $3.2334 on November 8, a historical high, and currently has fallen back to $3.07.
Grass claims that the first phase airdrop achieved amazing results, attracting 2.8 million users from 190 countries, making it the airdrop project with the widest user distribution on the Solana blockchain, and it can handle up to 100 TB of internet data capture every day.
Shortly after the first phase airdrop ended, Grass quickly announced on November 1 that the second phase (Stage 2) had started. If you have never participated in the Grass mining airdrop, you can refer to Mario's illustrated tutorial.

Participating in Grass's second season (Stage 2) mining airdrop is very simple; users just need to complete the following steps:
1. Go to the official website to register/login to your account
Click the Grass official website link (please click me) to register/login to your account.
2. Download the Grass Lite Node extension
Open Google Chrome browser, go to the Chrome Web Store to download and install the Grass Lite Node extension.
3. Ensure the network remains connected
Once the installation is complete and connection is successful, you can click 'Desktop Dashboard' from the Grass Lite Node extension to enter the mining dashboard.
4. Start automatic mining
After successfully connecting, the system will automatically start operating and accumulating Grass points. However, it should be noted that while the official allows the same account to use network resources from different computer devices, based on the experience of the first season of airdrop, if you accidentally connect using a VPN, that IP address may not earn points.
5. Understand the main functions of the Grass dashboard
Grass Dashboard: View points and copy the invitation link. The official criteria for successful invitations is that the invited person's cumulative mining hours must exceed 100 hours. If this condition is not met, it will be displayed as Pending Referrals.
Grass currently offers 3 types of node modes: using the browser extension earns 1x points, Grass community nodes earn 1.25x, and downloading the desktop version earns 2x points. Although the desktop version has a higher points multiplier, to prevent potential security risks, we do not recommend that users easily download the desktop version program.
Referral Program Page: Mainly used to check current mining points and Tier levels. If the points reach the required standard and you level up, you can receive additional point rewards.
Rewards Page: Mainly used to check the airdrop phase and verify email and crypto wallet. Grass supports Solana ecosystem wallets such as Phantom and Solflare.
Grass Token Economic Distribution
According to Grass's official white paper, the total supply of GRASS coins is 1 billion, with 30% allocated to the community. In the first phase airdrop, 10% of tokens were allocated to users participating in mining, but the proportion for the second phase has not yet been announced.
It should be noted that Grass will allocate 25.2% and 22% of tokens to early investors and ecosystem contributors, respectively, and will adopt a 1-year cliff and vesting period system. This means that there will inevitably be selling pressure until all tokens are unlocked by 2029.
Future Plans of Grass
Grass is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) Layer 2 project built on the Solana blockchain, allowing customers to use public network resources provided by node operators to fetch data and train AI models.
According to Grass's official plan, the second phase of airdrop mining will bring users a richer reward mechanism and introduce several innovative products and feature updates. The official expects to launch a Live Context Retrieval (LCR) system and a Grass mobile application (Mobile APP), which is expected to provide users with a more convenient experience.
Grass's ultimate goal is to become the 'router' for every internet search in the future. Therefore, they are building a network map owned by users through resource sharing and airdrop reward mechanisms, aiming to change the traditional usage model of internet resources in a decentralized manner.
