As of the time of writing, the Associated Press has reported on 409 seats (out of a total of 435), with the Democratic Party winning 199 seats and the Republican Party winning 210 seats. The party that first reaches 218 seats will win the majority.

According to AP statistics, as of Thursday at 6:30 PM Eastern Time, the Republican Party is leading in at least 14 of the remaining 27 contests, which means that if these results hold, they will maintain a majority for at least the next two years.
