ChainCatcher reported that according to The Block, Vinay Gupta, a technical expert who helped coordinate the release of Ethereum, said he was seeking to promote sensible encryption policies to President-elect Donald Trump's transition team.

Additionally, inspired in part by Trump’s landslide victory on Election Day, Gupta is considering relocating himself and the team at his UK-based blockchain company Mattereum to the U.S. “We plan to move people (including me) to Washington, D.C. soon to help with the cryptocurrency transition in the U.S.,” he added.

Vinay Gupta said part of his plan includes replicating some of the policies he helped develop in the U.K., including a recently introduced parliamentary bill that sought to formally define crypto assets as property and a successful push in the country to recognize smart contracts as “actual contracts.”
