PANews, November 4 - "The political system in the United States runs on money - and a lot of it." According to a report by Bloomberg on November 1, 11,000 political groups have spent $14.7 billion on the 2024 U.S. election campaign. The report points out that due to U.S. laws imposing no limits on funding for presidential and congressional elections, as the competition between the Democratic and Republican parties intensifies, voters are being "drowned" in advertisements, text messages, emails, and other campaign solicitations. The report states that the main expenditures of the $14.7 billion include a large amount of television advertising, frantic fundraising appeals, and a series of door-to-door visits by candidates, parties, and political action committees. According to U.S. advertising tracking company AdImpact, the 2024 presidential election is expected to be the most expensive in history.
