My apologies for the recent resignation of Ethereum researchers Justin Drake and Dankrad Feist, who since completing their roles as consultants on the re-pledge platform EigenLayer, have resigned from their advisory positions to focus on Ethereum’s basic network. This idea to resign came about heavily after they announced advisory roles in May, which led to concerns over conflict of interest.
Drake shall supposedly be apologizing to the Ethereum community and the Foundation’s colleagues, as well as taking full responsibility for the controversy he caused.“ Looking back, it was a mistake for me to make that decision,” Drake said. To date, Ethereum is among the top three in the TVL total value locked (TVL) for Ethereum, and Drake mentioned that his income came from token distribution which was quite significant, amounting to “millions of dollars worth of token vesting over three years.”
