The traditional media is widely acknowledged to be broken, and even Jeff Bezos is at a loss as to how to fix it. This week, 250,000 subscribers, or around 10% of the Washington Post's digital subscriber base, cancelled their subscriptions after Bezos broke with decades of precedent by quashing a Kamala Harris endorsement for President. This move caused more resignations in protest from The Post's editorial board, and Bezos attempted to explain his reasoning in an op-ed, but only succeeded in further exposing the lack of trust in the media.
