Immunefi: In October, the crypto industry lost $55.1 million
In October, the damage to cryptocurrency companies from hacks amounted to $55.1 million, which is 56.6% less than in the previous month ($126.9 million). This is indicated by the report from Immunefi.
During the month, seven incidents occurred. Most of the losses were attributed to two projects: the hack of the DeFi protocol Radiant Capital amounting to $50 million and the exploit of Tapioca DAO for $4.4 million.
Also affected were P719, Morpho Labs, Ramses Exchange, HYDT, and Fire. Analysts did not record any cybercrime in the CeFi segment for October.
Hackers most frequently targeted the BNB Chain network, which accounted for 50% of attacks last month. The remaining exploits occurred in Ethereum and Arbitrum (25% each).
