Deep Tide TechFlow News, on October 30, according to Cryptoslate, Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia, Evgeny Grabchak, announced that due to ongoing energy shortages, Russia will restrict cryptocurrency mining in specific regions, including areas with limited power resources such as the Far East, southwestern Siberia, and the south. The national news agency TASS confirmed the ban, stating that the power shortage could last until 2030, making large-scale mining difficult to sustain.

Law enforcement actions have been initiated against illegal or domestic mining. On October 28, Russian authorities arrested a resident of Novosibirsk who was suspected of electricity fraud related to cryptocurrency mining, profiting over 12 million rubles (approximately 123,000 USD), and the case is still under further investigation.
