Odaily Planet Daily News: Alex Thorn, head of research at crypto financial services company Galaxy Digital, said that Web3 blockchain startups and transaction-based services led venture capital transactions and funds in 2022, and this trend is likely to continue this year, with the Web3 sector consisting of NFTs, DAOs, metaverses, and online games accounting for 31% of transactions in 2022, of which 13% consisted of trading platforms. According to the Galaxy Digital report, venture capital institutions invested more than $30 billion in crypto and blockchain startups in 2022, but the number of transactions and investment amounts have been steadily declining each quarter, and more funds have been invested in later-stage companies, especially those that provide trading and exchange services.
