The announcement means that the XRPLedger Snap is now available on MetaMask. In other words, you can now access the XRP Ledger through MetaMaskâs interface. With over 30 million monthly active users, MetaMaskâs integration with XRPL marks a significant step forward for the ecosystem.
The integration allows users to connect to the XRP Ledger with just one click, streamlining the process of creating and managing XRPL assets. Users can now easily create and manage accounts on the XRP Ledger, effectively bridging the gap between the XRP ecosystem and MetaMaskâs extensive user base.

The Snap comes with support for both XRPL Mainnet and Testnet features, ensuring comprehensive functionality for both users and developers. Any decentralized application (dApp) can integrate the Snap, enabling platforms to connect to the XRP Ledger and handle transaction signing.
Enhanced Wallet Functionality
The XRPL Snap transforms MetaMask into a fully functional wallet for the XRP Ledger. Similar to Ledger hardware wallets, users can now sign transactions directly on the XRPL through MetaMaskâs familiar interface. This integration enables users to manage their XRPL assets seamlessly, without the need for blockchain bridges.
For those preferring web-based solutions, a dedicated web wallet is available at wallet.xrplevm.org. This alternative provides another way to interact with the XRP Ledger, complementing the MetaMask Snap integration and making the ecosystem more accessible to different user preferences.
