Its platform was attacked by a ransomware organization, and 1.14% of the user base was affected, but no financially sensitive or critical information was leaked. It is reported that an attacker gained unauthorized access to the laptop of a Transak employee through a complex phishing attack. The attacker used the stolen credentials to log into the system of a third-party KYC supplier for document scanning and verification services, and gained access to specific user information stored in the supplier's dashboard.
