BlockBeats reported that on October 18, Binance Compliance Director Tigran Gambaryan was unable to appear in court in the Nigerian court due to serious illness, delaying the trial for several months. Tigran Gambaryan's lawyer Mark Mordi requested a recess to check on his client's health. The judge agreed and postponed the trial to October 25.

Binance’s head of financial crime compliance, Tigran Gambaryan, has been incarcerated in Nigeria since February, and a Nigerian court last week rejected his request for medical bail. Gambaryan has required surgery since July 18, having contracted malaria, pneumonia, and tonsillitis while in prison, as well as complications related to a herniated disk in his back.
