According to TechFlow, on October 16, Decrypt reported that the latest survey of the Francisco Gavidia University of San Salvador in El Salvador showed that although the public generally supports the administration of President Nayib Bukele, his Bitcoin policy has not been widely adopted. The survey results show that only 7.5% of respondents said they use cryptocurrencies for transactions, while 92% admitted that they did not use them.

In 2021, under the impetus of the "millennial" leader Bukele, El Salvador listed Bitcoin as legal tender. However, only 1.3% of respondents believe that Bitcoin should be the main direction of development in the country in the future. In an interview with (Time) magazine, Bukele admitted that the popularity of Bitcoin is lower than expected.

Despite this, the survey showed that 58% of respondents believed that the country was moving in the right direction and expressed strong support for President Bukele. This was mainly due to the achievements of Bukele's government in improving the national security situation. However, its tough anti-crime policy has also attracted criticism from human rights organizations.

The survey covered 1,224 Salvadoran citizens aged 18 and over, covering a variety of issues including the economy and security.
