PANews reported on October 13 that according to Cointelegraph, crypto detective ZachXBT recently stated that the number of thieves targeting offline cryptocurrency traders has increased. In a post on October 10, he stated that he had received messages from multiple victims of cryptocurrency burglaries in Western Europe in the past few months, "and the frequency of occurrence is much higher than in other regions." He made the same claim in a message shared through a Telegram channel on September 27, saying that he knew that several people in the crypto community had been pointed at guns and their cryptocurrencies had been stolen in recent months. At the same time, ZachXBT claimed to have found evidence that a user X had $4.3 million in cryptocurrency stolen in a burglary in June 2024, and his address and personal information were stolen after the data breach, which allowed the thieves to track him.
