Horst Jicha, former CEO of USI-Tech, is on the run after allegedly tampering with his ankle bracelet, New York prosecutors revealed. Jicha, under home detention for his role in a $150 million crypto fraud, disappeared on Oct. 4. Authorities were alerted 12 hours after his bracelet malfunctioned, triggering an immediate arrest warrant.

Jicha, a German national, was arrested in Miami last December after a five-year absence from the US. He was under a $5 million bond in New York. His trial, set for March 31, includes charges of securities fraud and money laundering. Despite surrendering his passport, his whereabouts remain unknown.
