Odaily Planet Daily News: The board of directors of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) said that retail investors' cryptocurrency ownership has increased significantly since 2020, and called for more education for investors in the field. According to a report, 15 of the 24 jurisdictions surveyed reported that retail investors owned 10% or more of cryptocurrencies last year, while 6 jurisdictions reported cryptocurrency ownership of 30% or more. IOSCO wrote: "This is a sharp increase compared to 2020, when half of the responding jurisdictions estimated that only 1% to 5% or less of investors owned cryptocurrencies. Since 2020, the crypto asset sector has continued to develop." It added: "Despite market volatility, retail investors in developed economies and emerging market jurisdictions continue to invest in crypto asset markets during the 'crypto winter' of 2022."
