TON wallet draining program shuts down: market volatility caused by whale absence

A wallet draining program based on TON announced its closure due to the lack of support from whales in the community, which made the business difficult to maintain. On October 7, Web3 anti-fraud solution Scam Sniffer shared the news and directed users to other cryptocurrency draining services.

The program stated: "Due to the lack of whales in TON and the limited size of the community, we will cease operations." Its users were prompted to "enjoy" the service of draining Bitcoin instead of TON. Although miners have shown strong interest in TON in the past few months, hackers took advantage of this opportunity to commit fraud, disguised as bait for high returns.

At the same time, the phishing attack in September resulted in a loss of approximately US$46.6 million, with as many as 10,800 victims. This phenomenon once again reminds us that the security of the market cannot be ignored.
