Golden Finance reported that the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Bitcoin Friday Futures (BFF) launched on September 29 set a record of 31,498 contracts on the first day of trading. Each contract of this product is equivalent to one-fiftieth of a Bitcoin and is settled in cash every Friday based on the CME Bitcoin reference price. The BFF contract is listed every Thursday, allowing market participants to hedge or speculate on Bitcoin price fluctuations in the short term. CME's move responds to the demand for Bitcoin derivatives, provides a more convenient way to trade, and helps investors effectively manage Bitcoin risks.
