According to ChainCatcher, Cointelegraph reported that some Polymarket users complained that their accounts logged in through Google were attacked and USDC was stolen. The attacker used the "proxy" function to steal funds, but only a few Google logged-in users were affected. Users who use browser extension wallets such as MetaMask and Trustwallet were not affected.

After users deposited funds, they found that their balances were emptied. Polymarket officials have launched an investigation. The total loss of users has now exceeded $5,000.

Earlier news, Scam Sniffer posted on the X platform that it detected phishing links targeting the prediction market Polymarket in Google search results, and users need to pay attention to protect their assets.
