Odaily Planet Daily News 📢 Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart expressed his views on DCG, Genesis, Gemini lawsuits and their related issues. He believes that although Genesis is the only authorized participant (AP) of GBTC until the end of 2022, this is not conclusive evidence. Becoming an AP means agreeing to facilitate the creation and redemption of Fund shares. In this case, someone gives BTC to Genesis and they will receive an "equal value" of GBTC shares. Most ETFs have multiple APs, usually big banks like Goldman Sachs or Bank of America, etc. The companies' legal issues won't actually affect the ETFs operating as APs. Genesis was deleted in October 2022. There is currently no evidence of any new information or potential wrongdoing. Previously, the New York Attorney General accused Gemini, Genesis and DCG of defrauding investors and trying to cover up losses of more than US$1 billion. What do you think?
